Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest, eats well balanced meals, and comes to school ready to learn. I look forward to working with your children daily. They will be working on the alphabet out of order and their sounds. We will be writing sentences independently in our journals, reading books, and learning numbers and number sense.
Enjoy 15-20 minutes of time with your child for reading each night. Please complete the checklist. It should not be stressful just a school to home connection.
Counting items at home, sorting, and simply noting how numbers are used in the real world is a great way to work on math skills. Working on counting to 75, recognizing numbers to 20, and writing numbers to 20 is great practice at home. Counting by 5s and 10s is extra helpful.
